I wish I could have written a more optimistic review, but unless some changes are made here, they will keep losing good people. I stayed here for a few months but had to leave because I was honestly not making a comfortable living wage. There are also an excessive amount of mangers which leads to problems distinguishing who’s responsible for what.
The management gets stressed easily under pressure. ( 75% of the service charge is given to the FOH staff) members have an option to give additional tips but rarely do because they are already being charged a service charge. In the members only lounge there is a 20% service charge on all tables, but not all of the service charge is given to the FOH staff. I’ve never done so much but gotten paid such a small amount at any job I’ve ever done in my life.
The tip structure needs more adjusting to make it fair for severs and in particular bartenders.īartenders are expected to work events, make cocktails and drinks for events, working in a Satellite bar or Main bar, getting paid ONLY HOURLY! Most of the members are nice not too hard to deal with. Most of the people that work there are nice and I’m sad to leave them, because there is a family atmosphere amongst the front of house staff. Im shocked to be the first to write a review for City Club LA My wedding wouldnt be the amazing/perfect night that it was without City Club and its staff.
